WHERE DOES THE IDEA FOR A SAMPLE BOOK FROM?
This project was a necessity. After installing the new Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106-7 + LYYL, when we implemented a completely new technology, we gained much greater production capacity. The idea for the sample book was born out of the needs of our clients. After talking with them, we came to the conclusion that the easiest and the best way would be to give customers something tangible in their hands. Something that will realistically show what we can do, how we can do it and what are the possibilities. That’s why this sample book was made. Not to tell a story, just to show.
WHAT WAS THE MOST DIFFICULT IN THIS PROJECT?
The biggest challenge in the sample book project was how many changes have happened along the way. The original concept had evolved and developed along the way. That was the biggest challenge. We did not expect such a turn of events. An important aspect was to develop everything from the technological side to get a coherent whole. The challenge, but in a very positive sense, was the selection of technologies and finishings for individual packages in the project. The most difficult thing was to combine all the elements that we had in mind and achieved the result which we wanted. On the one hand, we wanted to show our clients technological possibilities in a synthetic way, but on the other hand, we also wanted to provide our clients with a tangible material and tool that they could use in their daily work and with their clients.
WHAT DO YOU THING ABOUT RESULT?
“The result perfectly shows the quality of our products”.
“It was worth doing”.
“For me superior”.
“This sample book is an excellent showcase for a packaging printing house”.
“The result is great. I believe that what we have achieved is very good. We are proud of this project. I think this sample book best shows our approach to quality and how important it is to us. This material shows what our technological possibilities. But mainly this sample book is a reflection of our new slogan Quality Reinvented, which means “new” quality. Quality reinvented is precisely Preston Packaging”.
The key is not the number of finishing we use but their appropriate selection to the packaging design. Your design studio or printing house can help you make the decision. Conversation, exchange of ideas, real assessment in terms of the feasibility of the project is the best beginning of cooperation. The presentation of the possibilities using the sample book of the printing house can guide you in the selection of finishes. Remember that you can always count on professional help and technological advice. This is how we work with clients to provide them with the highest level of service and support at every stage of the project.
